Workshop 1

Topic: Oral Expression

This was our first workshop , the main objective was to develop  acquisition strategies and techniques to improve  oral expression and body expression  through specific activities for it. Oral language is important because it provides the foundation for teaching and social development 

The day started at 11: 18 am , at the beginning we made circle and we said our names. Then, first activity was to get to know each other and share our personal attitudes and aptitudes related to an animal or thing . We answer some questions for instance Who am i? and Why am i like this? It was so fun to see and do this activity after this presentation , Giovany Alvaro told us some recommentations to improve our expressions , this was useful for us.

                                         

                                 

                                        

                                    


                                   

                                           

The second part was about confidence we have our classmates. We had to guide one of our classmates he or she had to close his/her eyes .It was difficult because we just had to use one sound ,and  the person had to guide and walk around the classroom with that sound,  everybody was doing this at the same time . That taught us how to trust in our kids ,and learners trust in their teacher. Also, we learned how to express without any sound ,so that help to provide nonverbal methods of response to increase the child’s confidence.

                                      

In the last activity , we made pairs and we had to talk with our partner no matter what noise or anything else it can affect  the conversation. The purpose of this was as a teacher we should be familiar with the noise we hear in the classroom ,and we must  control the noise and put in order all within the classroom to continue activities.

                        

                                                                    

Finally, we made circle ,and we talked about our experiences in that day . In addition, we share our learning in the workshop when  we use those strategies in classroom with our pupils .

In brief , we learned how to develop oral expression between teachers and students to get good interactive classes. This workshop created  a learning space of expressive tools for personal and professional use.
