Practice 7 One day in the jungle

Teacher Adriana explained some rules in the classroom ; then, teacher Xiomara started with the warm up ,and she gave instructions about the activity and made pairs. The activity was order the puzzle , so  if they complete the puzzle first they will have a happy face.

In the pre- reading  stage teacher Adriana presented the vocabulary . She provided examples using the flashcards; then, she passed some students in front of the class to point the word according to the picture.

The next stage was in charge by teacher Xiomara .She provided  a worksheet in which students had to read the text "one day in the jungle " teacher selected some students to read the story but teachers monitored that part . They completed the exercises and teacher Xiomara checked the answers.

The post-stage was performed by teacher Adriana . She gave a worksheet to each student where they had to complete and match exercise .After that, teacher said to students to sit down in the floor to checked the answers in the board in which they had to complete the word in blank and match  the word with the correct picture.

Finally, teacher Adriana asked students to sit down on the floor ,and a bottle was spinning on the floor , so the student who the bottle points out he or she has to choose a piece of paper from the box ,and answer the question according to the word .

Practice 6 Animals in the jungle

At the beginning of the class teachers passed the attendance. Then, teacher Majo started the class with an activity to obey the teacher says . If the teacher  Majo says "touch the panther " they touch that animal.

The next part of the class teacher Mariana presented the vocabulary by giving an example of each word. After that, teacher Mariana encouraged to remember the words that she taught in an activity touch the picture according to the word.

In this stage teachers Mariana and Majo  gave  a worksheet to each student ; then, they explained what students had to do in that page and they listened  the story about animals in the jungle. Teachers checked students' answers and they monitored their pupils.

The post stage teachers divided the class in two teams . One student of each team had a fly swatter and the other team too ,so they had to paste the fly swatter in the correct word that teachers says and students answered one question about the animals in the jungle story.

Practice 5 Wild Animals

Teacher Juan gave an exam to their students about the last classes. Then, teacher explained some rules in the class after teacher Juan asked them to stand up and make a line. They played a game called "black and yellow" the activity was move in the  correct position of the color. If the teacher said yellow they had to move in thar color ,and if someone made a mistaked he or she had to sit down.

The presentation stage was in charge by teacher Juan .He presented the vocabulary with some disposable plates of the wild animals by saying the name of the animal and a little description , and teacher checked the pronunciation of each animal.

In the practice stage teacher Andre gave a worksheet in which students had to match the correct wild animal according to the picture and the word. Teacher gave instructions how to do it .

The next stage teacher Juan made two lines he explained the activity .Students received  the masks of the animals and must say the sentence mentioned the animals that they had in their hands.

Finally, teacher Andrea made a review of the class with an activity. Students passed the ball and if someone got the ball he or she had to say the name of the wild animal that the teacher show with a mask.

Practice 4 My Family

At the beginning of this class teacher passed the attendance ; then, teacher Cristian started to sing a song called "If you are happy" T put the lyrics in the board ,and students repeated after him.

The next stage teachers presented the vocabulary using flashcards and labels. They explained each word by giving an example and they checked the pronunciation . After that, they encouraged some students to  go to the board an paste one word in the correct picture.

Teachers gave a worksheet "my family" they had to check the pictures and say the tittle of the reading text. Then, students read the text again and complete the other part  and teacher monitor them.

Teachers provided Ss a worksheet about the family ,and they had to  complete it with their own  information. Then teacher asked some students to read the description of their families. 

Teacher Nelson explained the warm up. They had to pass the ball and the person who got  a ball he or she had to  do the mimic or action of the words that the teacher taught .

Practice 3 The Family Members

This time was turn of teacher Guillermo and Carlos . They started by giving to each student  their names in a card. Also, they gave instructions about  classroom commands.

The first stage was warm up. Teacher Carlos made two groups each students had to shoot the member of the family when teacher carlos said "mother" they shoot the correct picture .That was a good and funny  activity  to review the last class . students loved it that game , so you can see the video here.

The next stage teacher Guillermo presented the topic and the vocabulary that students had to use .He explained the use od information question such as, who is she? and who is he? with the correct answer. Then, teacher Guillermo encouraged to put in practice with an activity called "memory game."

   
                                     

In the during stage teacher Charlie explained the activity and gave to each student a worksheet  that they were going to listen and fill the blank space  while teacher read slowly .Then, teacher read again and students had to circle the next part of the worksheet. 

The post-reading was in charge by teacher Guillermo explained that they had to draw their family in a piece of paper.After that, T divided the class some of them asked Who is she? and the others had to answer. Then, they switched.

Finally, teacher gave to their students snacks and T said good bye .

Practice 2 Possessive Adjectives

This class was performed by teacher Gabriela and teacher Paolo. The warm up was in charge by teacher Paolo he sang a chant titled " Family Fingers" He made a review about the last topic.

The next stage teacher Paolo presented the grammar lesson possessive adjectives (my, your, his, her) He explained one by one by giving examples.

  

In the practice teacher Paolo gave us a worksheet in which we had to fill the blank space with the missing possessive adjective . He helped us to complete the exercises 

The production stage was presented by teacher Gabriela and  She made groups.After that , she explained the activity and she gave us one flashcard according to family members.Also, we had to ask Who is this? and answer this is my father. This was a short conversation in which we used the target vocabulary.

Finally, teacher Gabriela used the same flashcards to check the pronunciation of the possessive adjectives. That was a good activity to manage students´ comprehension.
